When I sit in awe about the relationship between sound and silence I remember that I am an instrument. The bass of my heart, the electricity running through my veins is a mini percussianist, and the smooth sound of the water circulating reminds me of the silky sound of a viola. Chewing food I hear the chords of a guitar and as my fingers type this, the stacatto reminds me of a piano.
Communities are also a part of this masterpiece. Living beings of all shapes, sizes, colors, intelligences, and perspectives. The intelligence of soil and sunshine create life and wind that moves within us as both a life force and a voice. We sing our songs with the birds as they are remind us they were some of the first vocalizers. Did you know turtles talk? I'm fascinated by them and love to hearn about their songs.
My invitation to you is to hear music around you and to sing, play, create and share your verse in the harmony of the grand symphony.
